Representatiave Nolan will udate you on the legislative status of House File #2484. This is the legislation that our work group has been working on regarding mortgage foreclosure issues including overages, priorities, and redemption challenges.
Rana will address the legislative changes in the domestic abuse and harassment law that affects your office and what legislative changes can make your job a little easier.
Rod will discuss how the new real estate statutes change, how you handle overages from foreclosure sales, and how you can avoid being in the middle of a dispute between competing creditors during the redemption process.
With over 30 years of experience in the landlord-tenant area, Larry was hired to lead the national eviction project. Over the years, hehas spent countless hours at the MN Legislature changing the laws in this area. He will discuss this year's legislative changes that will assist Sheriffs when carrying out their civil process duties.
