We are excited to announce the launch of new series hosted by the SMDM Decision Sciences for Child Health Collaborative (DSCCo) and the Career Development Committee (CDC) that will focus on grant preparation and guidance, Grant Review and Networking for Trainees (GRANTs). We will address topics related to grant funding in quarterly one-hour virtual meetings, including strategies for writing successful decision science proposals for health funders and experience with various career development and research award mechanisms. We will also provide the opportunity for trainees and early career researchers (within 10 years of their terminal degree) to receive valuable feedback on a polished draft of a portion of a proposal in progress (e.g., a specific aims page or a letter of intent). Participation will be limited to SMDM members to encourage free exchange of ideas and maintenance of confidentiality.
