Event Description

Echoing Green and The Bridgespan Group unleashed a comprehensive report detailing funding disparities and barriers to capital faced by nonprofit leaders of color. The study was a wake up call for philanthropy, and AFP-NYC is partnering with Echoing Green to host this webinar featuring their findings.

This report and the data has been featured in The New York Times, SSIR, Chronicle of Philanthropy, and Harvard Business Review. Join the AFP-NYC Chapter’s Emerging Leaders Committee and IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Access) Committee as we host a virtual conversation featuring Echoing Green Vice President of External Affairs, Janna Oberdorf. We’ll discuss the findings from the report, unpack what the datasets reveal, discuss  the barriers nonprofit leaders of color face in fundraising, and takeaway concrete steps to change practices that lead to funding disparities.
