Event Description

Join SEFLIN’S DYDG in welcoming Lauri Rebar, MLIS, M.Ed., Associate University Librarian, Instruction and Engagement Services Department for FAU will be presenting for us on Instructional Design Program Plan Template on January 30, 2020 @ 10:30 a.m.

Lauri Rebar has been an Instruction and Engagement Services librarian at Florida Atlantic University Libraries since 2008. Throughout her life, Lauri has served as a "resource person" and appreciates the collaboration and sharing inherent within the library field. She is interested in new technologies and participates in creating videos, using LibGuides for outreach and instruction, and co-editing a library journal. She recently received a master's degree in Instructional Technology and enjoys finding ways to incorporate educational pedagogy and appropriate techniques and technologies into her library instructional sessions.

Webinar Description:

Programming in libraries is ongoing as programs are proposed, planned, and executed, usually back-to-back. In this interactive workshop, a program planning template will be reviewed which can be used as is, or modified, to help streamline and standardize your process, while allowing for creativity in the details. Lauri will also show us where to find resources, and some free ways to set up a curation system for those resources, which will be highlighted on SEFLIN'S DYDG Innovation Lab LibGuide. Lauri will also highlight libraries of information that already exist, diminishing the need to recreate the wheel.
