Event Description

Understanding the Enneagram: A Journey Towards Transformation, Level 2

*Note: While there is no prerequisite required to attend this Level 2 Enneagram Workshop, participants may find it helpful to also attend the Introduction to the Enneagram, a workshop to be held on September 23, 2022, and/or the Understanding the Enneagram: A Journey Towards Transformation, Level 1 training to be held on October 22, 2022.

This workshop is a Level 2 continuation of the Understanding the Enneagram: A Journey Towards Transformation, Level 1 workshop that will be held on September 23 2022. The Enneagram is a personality system that promotes the integration of psychology and spirituality, and enhances self-knowledge and growth. The Enneagram has both ancient and modern roots and is exceptionally accurate at helping reveal a person’s unconscious, hidden motivation for their behavior. It also provides a “blueprint for transformation” based on an individual’s Enneagram Type. It is both a very fascinating and useful tool for promoting mindfulness, wholeness and presence, highlighting the unity of mind, body and spirit in the human person.

The clinical application of the Enneagram can have significant impact, both on the therapeutic relationship, as well as in the healing process for the client.  The Enneagram can help a client enhance their self- knowledge, communication skills and relationship skills. For clinicians, these instruments can also provide a deeper self-knowledge, thereby enhancing the clinician’s use of self in their clinical work. The workshop also promotes social work values of honoring the dignity of the individual, and celebrating both the diversity and unity of the human family.

The format of the training will include both didactic and experiential components, for a total of 3 hours.

Learning Objectives:

1. This workshop will build upon the material from Level 1 Enneagram workshop. Thus, the participant will learn a Level 2, more intermediate level of theoretical underpinnings of the Enneagram theory.

2. The participant will learn the applicability of the Enneagram to promote personal growth for clinicians and clients alike.

 3. The participant will learn the relevance of the Enneagram in individual therapy, as well as couples and parent-child therapy.

4. The participant will be offered experiential opportunities in this training that may include small group discussion.
