Committees Leadership

Much of the work of the association is done by Committe and through Divisional activity. A list of our committees/divisions is presented below:


  • ABMA Emerging Leaders
    ABMA Emerging Leaders is a group of young ABMA executives engaged in networking and leadership development activities.
  • 100th Anniversary Task Force
    The 100th Anniversary Task Force is responsible for the planning and development of the ABMA 100th Anniversary in 2017.
  • ABMA Foundation BOD
    As the Broom, Brush, Mop and Roller industry's premier philanthropic and charitable organization, the ABMA Foundation is a catalyst for uniting people and organizations to make a difference through better education and opportunity. We secure contributions and provide grants for sustainable programs in research, education, and assistance for our industry associates and their families in need. Our strategic ties with the American Brush Manufacturers Association, coupled with our strong volunteer leadership and our generous donors, give us a powerful yet flexible infrastructure to anticipate and quickly respond to the needs affecting our industry and the welfare of its associates.
  • All Divisional Meetings
    The All Divisional Meeting provides a forum for the Divisions to meet together to discuss individual and shared agenda items.
  • Board of Directors
    The ABMA exists to help American brush manufacturers by enhancing industry knowledge, providing an unparalleled variety of networking opportunities and promoting profitability for its members and the industry. ABMA strives to promote and strengthen value for its members to be the preferred and innovative source for broom, brush and mop products worldwide.
  • Broom & Mop Division
    The ABMA Broom and Mop Division serves as an industry-focused forum for its member companies. To the extent permitted by law, the Division is committed to the following activities: 1. To provide networking opportunities between and among its members for the purposes of buying components and manufacturing equipment and selling finished product. 2. To facilitate the exchange of management and technical data that assist members in addressing challenges common to all industry participants. 3. To provide a forum for the discussion of the competitive global environment. 4. To oppose illegal imports of Division related products. 5. To support activities and legislation that benefits its members. 6. To oppose activities and legislation that adversely affects its members. 7. To promote the prosperity and growth of the Broom and Mop industry.
  • Convention Committee
    The mission of the ABMA Convention Committee is to plan, promote, and deliver an Annual Convention tailored to member needs, including a Suppliers’ Display and appropriate networking opportunities to give members a chance to meet each other and exchange ideas and doing so within the Board-approved budget. The Vice President will serve as Chair of this Committee.
  • Finance Committee
    ABMA’s Finance Committee shall prepare and present to the Board of Directors an Annual Budget, monitor the Association’s investment decisions, direct and review an annual audit as well as perform other duties as may be requested by the Board of Directors.
  • Industrial & Maintenance Division
    The ABMA Industrial and Maintenance Division serves as a forum to represent this segment of the industry. Through a variety of means such as Safety Standards, financial benchmarks and networking, its goal is to promote, enhance and ultimately improve the profitability of the companies in this division.
  • InterBrush Task Force
    The InterBrush task Force has the purpose of increasing US attendee and exhibitor participation at InterBrush. The InterBrush Task Force also has the charge to work with InterBrush stakeholders to continue the current commission agreement past 2024.
  • Leadership & Development Committee
    The Leadership Development Committee meets every other year to direct the nomination process for the association's committees, divisions and the executive board.
  • Membership Committee
    The mission of the ABMA Membership Committee is to encourage eligible companies to join ABMA and to oversee membership retention efforts. The Committee makes suggestions, observations, and recommendations about Membership activities to the Board of Directors. It maintains contact with eligible prospective and new members through correspondence and personal solicitation.
  • Membership Task Force 2021
  • Paint Applicator Division
    The ABMA Paint Applicator Division serves as an industry-focused forum for its member companies. To the extent permitted by law, the Division is committed to the following activities: 1. To provide networking opportunities between and among its members for the purposes of buying components and manufacturing equipment and selling finished product. 2. To facilitate the exchange of management and technical data that assist members in addressing challenges common to all industry participants. 3. To provide a forum for the discussion of the competitive global environment. 4. To oppose illegal imports of paint applicator products. 5. To support legislation that benefits its members. 6. To oppose legislation that adversely affects its members. 7. To promote the prosperity and growth of the paint applicator industry.
  • Public Relations Committee
    The mission of the ABMA Public Relations Committee is to create a strong image for the Brush, Broom and Mop industry in support of its member companies by: Developing new markets, expanding existing markets; and stimulating interest in ABMA among potential customers, members and the press. One tool is the Association’s webpage for which the Committee has creative and maintenance responsibility.
  • Safety & Standards Committee
    The mission of the ABMA Safety & Standards Committee is threefold: 1) Recommend changes to existing standards; 2) Review proposed new standards; and 3) Develop means to assist Members in coping with their product liability problems. It advises members of new developments affecting the industry. Maintains liaisons with other industry organizations and standards development committees. Interfaces with the Product Liability Prevention and Defense Group and other coalitions seeking tort reform. It is preferred that Committee members have a familiarity with standards writing and an engineering background.
  • Statistical Committee
    The Statistical Committee helps determine what surveys, studies, and other activities are helpful to Members in the conduct of their businesses. The Committee also functions to help encourage Membership participation in those surveys, studies and other activities in an attempt to add value. While it reviews existing statistical activities for content and value, the Committee does not have access to individual Members’ confidential figures submitted in any Association survey.
  • Suppliers Division
    The ABMA Suppliers’ Division serves as a forum to represent this segment of the industry. Through networking, industry peers discover that the challenges impacting their businesses are uniform to their segment of the market and beyond.
