Registration Steps

Step 1.  Click Register For This Event below to reach the secure Online Store.

Step 2.  Select a Registration Fee (Early Bird, Regular or Student) and desired Options [Field Tour and or UMC 2020 Abstracts for a full printed volume] for yourself.

Step 3.  Click Next to register a spouse/guest, if any. Enter the number of guests, then their name, and select Guest Fee Options [Spouse/Guest Fee (for Cocktail Reception and UMC Banquet) and or Spouse/Guest Tour Fee (for special day tour -- not for conference participants).

Step 4.  Click Next to review Cart items, then click Check Out to complete your payment (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover) via the secure Online Store. A confirmation and receipt will promptly be emailed to you.

REGISTRATION FEES
The UMC fee schedule below provides for Early Bird, Regular, Student and Late registration options, as well as a discount benefit to current members of the International Marine Minerals Society.  Only VISA, MasterCard, American Express and Discover payments are accepted.

EARLY BIRD Fee (deadline May 31):  Members USD 500, Non Members USD 600
Covers welcoming reception, technical sessions, workshops, conference materials, cocktail reception, UMC banquet, and 2021 membership to IMMS.
VIRTUAL Fee (deadline September 24 ):  Members USD 99, Non Members USD 250
Covers online technical sessions, online workshops, and 2021 membership to IMMS.
REGULAR Fee (deadline September 24):  Members USD 600, Non Members USD 700
Covers welcoming reception, technical sessions, workshops, conference materials, cocktail reception, UMC banquet, and 2021 membership to IMMS.
STUDENT Fee (deadline September 24):  USD 400
Covers welcoming reception, technical sessions, workshops, conference materials, cocktail reception, UMC banquet, and 2021 membership to IMMS.
LATE Fee (starts September 25):  USD 100
An automatic late fee of USD 100 is assessed for those registering after August 31, 2020. 

OPTIONAL REGISTRATION FEES
Field Tour Fee (Friday, October 2):  USD 75
Participants and their spouse/guest may register for this activity to include to an phosphate mine tour.
UMC 2020 Abstracts (printed volume):  USD 60
Each registrant already receives a thumb drive (digital version of the abstracts). This option provides a printed hard copy volume.

GUEST FEE OPTIONS
Spouse/Guest Registration Fee:  USD 115
Spouses or guests of conference participants are encouraged to join the Cocktail Reception and UMC Banquet.

Spouse/Guest Day Tour Fee:  USD 75
Spouses or guests (not for conference participants) may register for this day trip on Wednesday, September 25 that includes a guide, bus transport, entry fees and lunch.

CANCELATIONS

Cancelations must be received in writing by September 20, 2020. No refunds will be given for cancelations received after this date. Refunds are subject to a $50 processing fee and will be issued no sooner than 4 weeks after the meeting. Written cancelations may be sent via e-mail to UMC Conference Manager lazevedo@immsoc.org. IMMS reserves the right to cancel or reschedule UMC 2020 due to unforeseen circumstances, natural hazards and other dangerous situations. Registrants will be notified.
