Managing Moving Image Collections
2019-08-14

Media formats like films and videocassettes present unique resources within our archival collections, images and sounds that bring our histories to life. Understanding the history and range of formats within audiovisual records allows professionals to meet the unique challenges presented by media collections.  This webinar will provide an introduction to moving image formats that are common (and not-so-common) in archives, libraries, and museums, so that participants can begin prioritizing and preserving these media.  Basic description, proper storage, safe handling, and reformatting will be discussed.
Presenter: Stephanie Garafolo
