You are more powerful than you think you are. In fact, we are all more powerful than we think we are when we tackle challenges with optimism. We influence others every day in our personal and in our professional lives. Every conversation is a negotiation and you can lead from any position in the organization. It all starts with optimism and setting goals. This session will provide specific strategies you can implement right away when handling difficult situations or influencing decision makers. Shift from nonproductive hindsight to proactive problem solving and get your team focused on constructive ideas and viable solutions in record time. This interactive session features short exercises and participatory activities that inform the concepts presented. Celebrate success and feel joy in all that you do. You are more powerful than you think you are. Get ready to lead.

You will learn to:
1) Accept more responsibility and embrace leadership opportunities
2) Understand the importance of influence in funding and policy decisions
3) Understand what you can control and what you need to let go of to be effective
