Educational/Learning Objectives
After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:
- Explain the appropriate imaging work-up of palpable masses after mastectomy, including the use of ultrasound, mammography, MRI, and core needle biopsy.
- Review imaging characteristics of benign versus malignant palpable masses after mastectomy with or without reconstruction.
- Describe the necessity of obtaining a thorough history including any relevant procedures.
