Educational/Learning Objectives

After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:

  1. Explain the appropriate imaging work-up of palpable masses after mastectomy, including the use of ultrasound, mammography, MRI, and core needle biopsy.
  2. Review imaging characteristics of benign versus malignant palpable masses after mastectomy with or without reconstruction.
  3. Describe the necessity of obtaining a thorough history including any relevant procedures.

The American College of Radiology designates this educational activity as meeting the criteria for up to 1 Category A credit hour of the ARRT.

Instructions to Receive Credit:
In order to successfully complete the activity, participants must complete and pass the post-test with an 80% or higher and complete an activity evaluation and claim credit commensurate with their participation in the activity.
