PRESENTERS
Jason Weiss, Ph.D., Jack and Kay Hockema Professor of Civil Engineering/Director of the Pankow Materials Laboratory, Purdue University, West Lafayette, Ind.
Mike Darter, Ph.D., P.E., Principal Engineer, Applied Research Associates, Inc., and Emeritus Professor of Civil & Environmental Engineering at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
OVERVIEW
This video focuses on this the concept of internal curing of concrete pavements, and how this technology can both increase productivity on the grade and extend the service life of finished pavements.
Our program will begin with an overview of the technology; supportive research results; benefits of internal curing; and sustainability aspects. In our second part of the program, we will feature pavement design considerations, materials-related issues and topics, life cycle cost considerations, and long-term performance.
This is an essential training and tech transfer program for contractors, consultants, engineers, and others representing industry, agencies/owners, and academia and who have an interest in this exciting technology.
