Frequently Asked Questions

Q: I've taken trainings at the Connecticut Women's Consortium (CWC) in the past--why isn't the system recognizing my user email or password?

A: We moved to a new registration system on September 1, 2016. If you have not attended a training since that date, you will need to create a new registration profile. To do so, on the Sign In / Register page, click New Visitor Registration and follow the steps to create a new profile. If you believe you already have a profile but still cannot log in, please call Education & Training for assistance (203)909-6888 x2.

Q: What is the refund policy if I am unable to attend a training I've signed up for?

A: If you have registered for a workshop and can no longer attend, you must call and speak with a staff member before 9am the day of the workshop (or 8:30am for half day trainings) to receive a credit. Credits are available for the full cost of the workshop and can be used for a future CWC workshop or online course. Refunds minus a 25% administration fee are only available up to 48 hours prior to the start of an event.

Q: What do I do if my agency is paying with a check/purchase order?

A: If registering using a Purchase Order/Check Request Form, download our registration form and fax it along with a copy of your signed Purchase Order or Check Request Form to (203) 909-6894. You can mail or fax a check with your registration form. There is a $25 bank & handling fee for all returned checks. Failure to pay this fee will prevent you from registering for future courses. Checks and purchase orders are payable to The Connecticut Women's Consortium and can be sent to

Q: Can I register over the phone?

A: In order to protect you as a consumer, the Connecticut Women's Consortium is not able to accept credit card payments over the phone. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Q: If I have to leave early on the day of a training, or arrive late, will I get Continuing Education Credits (CECs) for the time that I was present?

A: Sign-In begins 30 minutes before each event. You are required to sign in and out, before and after the training to receive CECs. In accordance with accreditation standards, continuing education hours are only given to those individuals who have completed training in the entire workshop. Partial credit is not given. If you arrive 30 minutes after the start of the event or leave during the event for any reason you will not receive credits, as you have not completed training in the topic.

Q: How can I register a group?
A: To register a group, you will need to fill out a registration form for each individual and send with an agency purchase order, via fax or email. Please call for additional assistance (203)909-6888 x2.

Q: I attended a training and didn't receive an email with instructions on how to obtain my CEC certificate. What do I do?

A: Check your spam or junk mail folders for an email from training@womensconsortium.org. If you still cannot find the email, then you can log in to your CWC profile on our website to obtain your certificate. Once logged in, click on “My Classroom” on the white banner just below the floral banner. Once in My Classroom, click on “My Credit” (in the same location). You will see the course listed under “Pending Credit” and can submit for credit on this page. Once you’ve passed the post-test and completed the survey, you may click on “View Connecticut Women's Consortium Certificate" under Submitted Credit course list.
