Keynote: Customer Engagement and the Library Marketing Funnel

Customer engagement is one of the most important aspects of a library's operations, but we often don't look at it in a strategic way. Using a concept called the “marketing funnel," we will discuss how libraries can move people from being potential customers to library users to advocates using a combination of marketing and customer service strategies. We will also discuss some of the barriers inside the library's marketing funnel, that make it difficult for customers to interact with us at every turn; and what we can do to remove those barriers.
