Meet the Instructor: Meagan Mitchell LICSW, MSW, MEd, DSW Candidate

Meagan Mitchell is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with a Masters of Social Work from The University of Michigan and a Masters of Education from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. She is also a Doctor of Social Work (DSW) Candidate at the University at Buffalo School of Social Work. In her graduate work, Meagan is interested in exploring the long-term effects of trauma, the intersections of technology and social work, and promoting wellness and preventing burnout amongst helping professionals.

Meagan has been working in school settings for the past 14 years. Her journey has included work in a variety of educational settings including Early Head Start and Head Start programs in Michigan and Ohio, providing support for diverse learners with an independent school in Chicago as well as many years of experience as a School Social Worker with the District of Columbia Public Schools.

In addition to her work in schools, Meagan started Agents of LLC in 2020, a social work exam prep company to help social work candidates prepare for the social work licensure exams. She strives to address the needs of all learning styles by using a student-centered approach.Teaching and building a strong learning network are two of the biggest foundations of Meagan’s practice. She hopes to continue to share her interest in compassionate and supportive education others.
