Speaker Information

Imran Ali is an attorney and the Director of Law Enforcement Education and Training for Eckberg Lammers.  After serving over seventeen years as a felony-level prosecutor in the state of Minnesota, his extensive experience is recognized both in the courtroom and community.  Imran has prosecuted some of the most complex cases in Minnesota.  Working with victims of crime has provided Imran with the passion needed to succeed in the courtroom.  He has developed law enforcement training programs that employ participants to serve their communities with honor and integrity while being equipped with the appropriate tools in decision-making.  Imran has presented at prosecution and law enforcement conferences nationwide.

Randy McAlister has been working in the emergency services since 1990 as an EMT, Nationally Registered paramedic, and a police officer. He has been with the Cottage Grove Police Department since 1998 and is currently a Deputy Director of Public Safety/Police Captain in charge of Investigations. He also served for 14 years on the Washington County SWAT team and retired from the team in 2013 as a Team Commander. Randy holds an M.A. from Concordia University (St. Paul, MN) in Criminal Justice Leadership and a B.A. from Bethel University (St. Paul, MN). He has attended Gavin de Becker and Associates’ Advanced Threat Assessment and Management Academy in Lake Arrowhead, California and is also a member of the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals--specializing in the assessment and management of targeted violence. Randy has received advanced training in workplace violence prevention, stalking, domestic homicide prevention, school violence and terrorism. He has also completed the Department of Homeland Security/Federal Law Enforcement Training Center’s Domestic Violence Instructor course and was a national instructor with the National Center for Victims of Crime’s Stalking Resource Center out of Washington, D.C.
