RADM Pam Schweitzer, PharmD, Former Assistant Surgeon General, 10th Chief Pharmacist Officer, USPHS Commissioned Corps, COF Board of Trustees
Rear Admiral (RADM) Pamela Schweitzer retired in September 2018 from a four year term as the Assistant Surgeon General and 10th Chief Pharmacist Officer of the United States Public Health Service (PHS). As Chief Pharmacist Officer (first female in this role), RADM Schweitzer was responsible for providing leadership and coordination of more than 1,300 PHS pharmacy officers in 13 agencies with the Office of the Surgeon General and the Department of Health & Human Services. Of her 29 year career in federal service, she most recently served at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).  Previously, she served in varied assignments in the Indian Health Service (IHS) and the Veterans Health Administration (VHA).   RADM Schweitzer has a wide variety of experiences with developing clinical programs and managing large projects.  Since retiring, RADM (ret) Schweitzer continues working on several public health related projects, improving health and access to healthcare in underserved areas, interoperability and reimbursement for clinical services. She also serves on the board of directors or advisory boards for a number of companies/organizations.

Steven L. Solomon, M.D., Principal, Global Public Health Consulting, LLC
Dr. Steve Solomon is a principal and founder of Global Public Health Consulting which was incorporated in 2015.   He received a B.A. from Rutgers University and an M.D. from Tufts University. He is board certified in internal medicine, infectious diseases and preventive medicine, and has been elected to Fellowship by the American College of Physicians and the Infectious Diseases Society of America.  Prior to retiring from government, Dr.  Solomon held several senior executive positions within the Federal government, including, at CDC, serving as Director of the Coordinating Center for Health Information and Service and Director of the Office of Antimicrobial Resistance.  From 1989 to 2009 he was an attending and staff physician at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Decatur, Georgia, and was an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine.   Dr. Solomon retired from the Commissioned Corps of the U.S. Public Health Service in 2010 at the rank of Rear Admiral.  In addition to his roles at CDC, Dr. Solomon has previously served as chair of the Patient Safety Task Force of DHHS and as Deputy Director of the Office of Healthcare Quality in the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health in DHHS.  He also served as managing co-chair of the Federal Interagency Task Force on Antimicrobial Resistance and head of the secretariat of the Transatlantic Task Force on Antimicrobial Resistance.   Through Global Public Health Consulting, LLC, he has provided advisory and consulting services to industry, clinical programs, non-profit organizations and governmental public health agencies.   He has focused on issues related to infection control, antibiotic resistance, healthcare quality, scientific communication and education, and program and policy development.
