Featuring James Moore, Senior Advisor for Clery Act Compliance and Campus Safety, Clery Compliance Team, U.S. Department of Education, and current/former practitioners
Numerous institutions of higher education have been the target of bomb threats in 2022. These events present nuanced operational, safety, and compliance challenges, both in the moments following the threat’s receipt, and in the subsequent evaluation and management of the threat.
This webinar will examine bomb threats directed at colleges and universities. Panelists will consist of Federal and non-Federal officials who have been involved in responding to these events. Panelists will focus on the lessons learned from an emergency response and Clery Act compliance perspective, including issues related to Emergency Response and Evacuation Procedures (including Emergency Notifications), Timely Warnings, the Daily Crime Log, incident and after-action reports, and crime classification considerations.
