Recruiting and Retaining Diverse Fundraising Professionals

Event Description

With turnover in the non-profit sector at a staggering 25% average annually and an average tenure at 18 months within the development sector, it is obvious something needs to change. Not only is it a waste of precious resources to continually go through the process of talent acquisition, but it is also harmful to a non-profit organization’s reputation and financial sustainability.

Part of the solution is effective planning, but there does not seem to be much of it: according to the 2017 Non-Profit Employment Practices Survey, 80% of organizations did not have a formal retention strategy for top talent. Furthermore, although non-profit leaders ranked diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) as their top talent management priority, 66% of respondents to this survey reported that they do not have or are not sure if a DEI strategy exists within their organization.

Join us on October 11th to learn how to ensure that you have the right mix of perspectives and experience on staff over the course of the long-term to raise the resources your organization needs to thrive.

You will learn:

1. The value that a diverse team brings to an organization’s bottom-line.

2. How to retain employees by creating value for new hires by way of investing in their growth through mentorship and training.

3. DEI strategies that need to be in place in conjunction with acquisition and retention initiatives to increase stability within the non-profit workforce as a whole.
