The 2019 meeting of the Society for Pediatric Pathology will be held at the Crystal Gateway Marriott in Arlington, VA. This venue is just outside of Washington, DC, and also approximately 20 minutes from the USCAP meeting in National Harbor, Maryland.
The SPP spring meeting will include scientific presentations, a symposium on pediatric lymph node pathology, and an array of workshops. Elizabeth Perlman, M.D., Ph.D, will present the Farber-Landing lecture. This year the USCAP will allow SPP meeting registrants free entry into their Sunday evening specialty conference on pediatric pathology, moderated this year by Pierre Russo, M.D.; those interested will need to stop by USCAP registration for a complimentary ticket.
Registration will include continental breakfast both days, and for new members and trainees, a welcome luncheon. Please also consider purchasing a ticket to the SPP banquet, where this year’s incoming president, Charles Timmons, M.D., will give a speech.
SPP committee meetings will be held at the Crystal Gateway Marriott on Friday, March 15. Even if you are not a committee member, we hope you will consider joining one or more of the open meetings.
Sara Vargas, M.D.
