Expanding Nursing Science in Population and Global Health
Hosted by Emory University School of Nursing
The Southern Nursing Research Society (SNRS) invites you to join us March 21-24, 2018, at the Sheraton Atlanta Hotel in Atlanta, GA, as we celebrate our 32nd year of supporting and advancing quality nursing research at the 2018 Annual Conderence. The SNRS Program Committee has planned a full program with scholarly papers, symposia, poster discussion sessions, posters, general sessions, and networking sessions.
New This Year! Plan to join us starting Wednesday, March 21.
Tour of Center for Disease Control (CDC)
What would a visit to Atlanta be without a tour of the CDC? Come learn why the CDC is headquartered in Atlanta, what CDC measures in its tobacco laboratory, and how the CDC helped NASA during the Apollo 11 moon mission! As an additional option for attendees on Wednesday, March 21, SNRS will be offering two tours, 9 am and 10 am, to the CDC in Atlanta. The tours are two hours in length and space is limited to 30 on each tour. You must pre-register and pay to hold your spot. The cost for the tours are $20, and cut-off for tour registration is February 16, 2018. (The tours will leave the hotel at the times listed above for a 10 am and a 11 am tour of the CDC)
Top Student Poster Session
Due to its popularity and to allow more attendees to participate, the Top Student Poster Session will take place on Wednesday, March 21, from 4:00-5:30 pm as our opening plenary.
Special Session I collaboration with Robert Woods Johnson Foundation
A special session, in collaboration with the Robert Woods Johnson Foundation on the Future of Nursing and Nursing Science in Population Health, will be offered on Thursday morning, March 22 from 10:30-12 pm.
SNRS Dine Around
Plan to gather with friends at specially selected Atlanta restaurant for Friday evening's "Dine Around."
On Friday night, conference attendees will have the opportunity to dine out at a local restaurant with other attendees. Sign up for this event will take place on Wednesday and Thursday at the registration booth. Five restaurants have been chosen near the conference venue with 2 tables for 6 persons reserved at each restaurant. Attendees will be responsible for paying for their meal, any transportation costs to and from the restaurant, and gratuity.
