About this webinar

This one-hour workshop will discuss the nature of and challenges in holding difficult conversations, and strategies to overcome those challenges and increase the likelihood of success. Polls, discussion/chat, and Q&A will be used to involve the audience to ensure that specific fears and concerns are addressed. Tools and references will be provided or identified to support participants in putting learning into action.

 

Presented by Joellen M. Austin and Garry Sanders

Joellen M. Austin is the Deputy Director for Management for the National Institute on Drug Abuse, National Institutes of Health (NIH), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. She has worked at NIH in positions of progressing management responsibilities since 1989. Ms. Austin is an Associate Certified Coach with the International Coaching Federation, and currently serves as an internal coach to employees across NIH.

Garry Sanders is Principal, AssistLeadership, LLC and is an Executive Coach having earned a Certificate in Leadership Coaching from Georgetown University, and the designation of Professional Certified Coach by The International Coaching Federation. He is coaching leaders and team members at universities, businesses, and government agencies around the United States.
