Support and empower users and staff at your library by creating comprehensive and sustainable documentation. Simple and consistent resources can inform users and enable the preservation of institutional knowledge. This session will dive into strategies and tips for creating and sharing documentation for various audiences.
You will learn:
1) Strategies for planning, producing, and sharing effective and sustainable documentation for library services
2) How to harness screen-capture technology to elevate your training documents and videos
3) How to tailor your documentation to your intended audience
4) How to apply Universal Design for Learning (UDL) concepts to inform the creation of inclusive user guides & tutorials
About the presenter:
Shelby Stinnissen holds a Master of Information from the University of Toronto iSchool where she studied Library and Information Science (LIS), Knowledge Management and Information Management (KMIM). Shelby is interested in user experience, open access, and digital scholarship.
