How do you conduct a successful readers' advisory interview?

Talking about books with library patrons is the meaning of a reader's advisory conversation. This conversation is focused on determining likes and dislikes, providing reading suggestions, and more.

This webinar is presented by members of the OLA Reader's Advisory Committee and the OLA Best Bets Committee. They will present practical tools and tips to improve your reader's advisory skills for adults, teens, and children. The presenters will also share recent titles of note for each age category.

You will learn:

1) How to conduct a successful reader's advisory interaction;
2) How to identify and use appeal factors; and
3) How to recommend books in alternative formats.
