About this webinar:

Join Tess Wilson from the Library Freedom Project for an introduction to online privacy in the digital age. We live in an era of data breaches and constant surveillance. Learn how to keep your data safe and how best to encourage library users to do the same. We'll consider the risks versus rewards of common internet browsing behavior and navigate best practices for public computer labs, mobile phones, and personal browsing. This webinar is intended for any library worker with an interest in privacy.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Describe privacy issues associated with using library resources
  • Explain the privacy risks of some popular apps and tools
  • Identify vulnerable moments in our privacy journey
