Approaches to Library Assessment​

This session will offer a brief survey of the most recent literature about critical assessment in higher education and libraries. 

Examples of thoughtful and innovative assessment initiatives will be introduced. Key themes and takeaways will be discussed with attendees, who will then be invited to share their thoughts about and experiences with critical assessment practices. 

You will learn how to: 

1) Learn about recent research on critical assessment in higher education; 
2) Identify resources to help get started with their own assessment research and initiatives; and
3) Exchange with colleagues who are involved with assessment at their institution.

About the presenter: 

Anne Le-Huu Pineault is a Teaching & Learning Librarian at Emory University’s Oxford College (near Atlanta, GA). Her previous experience includes being a Management Librarian at the University of Ottawa and a Field Experience student in Duke University Libraries’ Assessment and User Experience department.
