My Terms of Service - Data Rights and Privacy in Today's Online World

When we check an "I Agree" box, what are we really agreeing to? What do we sacrifice for convenience and access to our digital world? Join us for an interactive workshop that examines data rights in a practical way.

Presenter: Tess Wilson

Tess Wilson is a Library Freedom Project Advocate. She currently serves as the YALSA Blog Manager, presents workshops as a privacy advocate with the Library Freedom Project, and has been a regular contributor to the Office of Intellectual Freedom blog. Previously, she was a Guest Editor for the Fall 2018 issue of YALS, a recipient of the Freedom to Read Foundation’s Judith Krug Education Award, and a 2017 ALA Emerging Leader for United for Libraries. She earned her MFA in Creative Writing from Chatham University and her MLIS from the University of Pittsburgh.
