Event Description

Summer Camp at the Library: One Librarian's Adventure
5/9/2019
12:00pm - 1:00pm

About this Session:
Vaughan Public Libraries piloted its first full-day childcare camp in 2018.  Their STEAM Camps have been hugely successful, offering affordable and educational childcare for the Vaughan community. This session will discuss the methodology, content, trials, errors and feedback from one Librarian who went through it all, start to finish. You'll come away with the know-how and enthusiasm to start a camp at your own libraries!

About the Presenter:
Dina Stevens works for Vaughan Public Libraries as the Librarian II - Program and Event Development. Having piloted the position for the organization, her first year and a half has been one of innovation and unchartered territory.  Dina is responsible for coordinating and developing new programs and events across 10 library branches. She received her MLIS from Western University in 2010.
