(No virtual attendance, registration required by 7/11/22, no onsite registrations permitted)

Date: Wednesday, July 13, 2022

Location: PwC, 300 Madison Avenue, New York, NY

Panel Discussion: 6:15 PM – 7:30 PM

Please join the RMA NY Chapter IN PERSON at PwC on Wednesday, July 13, for a discussion around inflation, central banks and de-globalization. Topics will include:

  • Can the Fed navigate a "soft landing", and what is the risk of a policy misstep?
  • What are the likely effects of the Fed unwinding its balance sheet versus raising the policy rate?
  • What will sharply higher U.S. interest rates mean for the rest of the world?
  • At what point might historically tight labor conditions begin to reverse?
  • Could the turmoil in the energy and commodities markets push the U.S. into recession? How about stagflation?
  • How do the midterm elections in November come into play, if at all?
  • Which industries/sectors are best positioned to deal with sustained high inflation?
  • Are there any signs of loosening in supply chain bottlenecks?
  • Can industries rework their supply chains so that future disruptions are less likely?
  • What are the main differences between pre- and post-COVID economies?
