NAIDE’s Train the Trainer 2022! A Virtual Train the Trainer program with tracks for experienced and new trainers from the Client, Defender, and Civil Legal Aid communities.
This year with a NEW TRACK on building Racial Justice subject matter trainings!
What you will learn:
The format of the program will include both plenary sessions and breakout groups for participants to focus on individual goals for themselves and their agencies.
Two Tracks (you must select a track when registering):
Train the Trainer: A Race Conscious Train the Trainer Program
Learn how to deliver engaging and effective training using the latest concepts in adult learning methods, all through a race-equity lens.
Beyond Bias: Creating a Racial Justice Program for your Organization
For more experienced trainers looking to move beyond bias training and develop subject matter anti-racism trainings, such as litigating race and facilitating race dialogues.
Who should take this:
This program is open to members of our Defender, Civil, and Client communities. You will have an opportunity to share expertise across our practice areas and also have time in similarly situated small groups to dive more deeply into these concepts.
This program is conducted by a team of training professionals from a variety of perspectives and cultures, representing different regions of the country and with experience in training within statewide, county, and nonprofit systems. Our faculty will include trainers certified by the Black Public Defender Association (BPDA).
