Transplant Evaluation and Waitlist Management

This session covers the requirements for a transplant recipient evaluation and work up, recognizing the indications and contraindications to being a transplant recipient, the data collection required, and the education of the recipient and the family. Topic includes listing a candidate, maintaining effective communication, maintaining listing status and removal from the wait list. 

This module consists of education content followed by a quiz to test the participant's knowledge of the subject matter. 

After completion of this course:

• The attendee will be able to evaluate and educate candidates for transplant
• Attendees will be able to list a candidate, maintain a candidate on the waiting list, and will be able to remove a candidate from the waiting list
