The Complexities of Complex Trauma Part I - Live Teleseminar Hosey

Intended Participants: Participants must receive approval of the faculty member to attend. Licensed mental health professionals (psychiatrists, psychologists, clinical social workers, mental health counselors, accredited psychotherapists, etc.) who are interested in developing their skills in treating clients with chronic trauma related disorders. For Part I of the course, there is no need to have a client with a chronic trauma-related disorder.

Course Format: 6 sessions Teleseminar Format; 2.5 hour sessions each.

Faculty Bio: Jillian Hosey, MSW RSW, is a Clinical Social Worker and Trauma Therapist in Private Practice in Toronto Canada, providing comprehensive assessment and treatment to children, youth, and adults who are struggling with PTSD and complex PTSD, attachment and developmental trauma, and dissociative disorders. As an integrative EMDR Therapist informed by Interpersonal Neurobiology and a psychodynamic approach, Jillian tailors her treatment approach to each unique client’s needs, incorporating various treatment modalities including Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Attachment Theory, Polyvagal Theory, and various theories and treatments of complex trauma and dissociative disorders. Jillian is a Certified EMDR Therapist and EMDRIA Approved Consultant and is a facilitator for the AGATE Institute (Ana Gomez Attachment Trauma Education), which provides specialized training to EMDR therapists working with children and youth. Jillian has presented on integrating the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) into EMDR Therapy at the Child and Adolescent Complex Trauma Conference 2019 and the SSP Gathering with Dr. Stephen Porges 2019.  She is a founding partner of the Healing Therapy Alliance (HTA) and the PsychoSomatic Trauma Initiative in Toronto, which are collectives of integrative Psychotherapists, Wellness Therapists, and Addictions Counselors that provide a collaborative, team-based approach to healing the whole person and is grounded in neuroscience and trauma-specific, evidence informed practices.


Continuing Education Credits: CE Learning Systems is a co-sponsor of this event. APA credits are available for this course. To earn continuing education credits participants must complete an evaluation for each session and an overall evaluation at the conclusion of the course. Students must attend 50 minutes out of each hour via videoconferencing to be eligible for credits.
