Facilities Certification Program Testimonials

WHAT FACILITIES MANAGERS ARE SAYING ABOUT FACILITIES CERTIFICATION:

"This certification gives credence to my vast knowledge and background. This rigorous exam was extensive and covered the full scope of the Facilities Management. It allows me to network with our fellow facilities managers to promote the existing certification program. I am able to continue to gather information and resources as this field and its regulations are constantly changing. This certification will allow our Board members to more fully understand the vital role of Facilities Management in the total school environment."
Kevin Weisenberger, Facilities Manager, McHenry CHSD 156

WHAT SUPERINTENDENTS ARE SAYING ABOUT FACILITIES CERTIFICATION:

“I wanted to say a few words on behalf of my Director of Facility Management upon his AFE certification. Scott (Mackall) was instrumental in the development and procurement of this program. This process began 2.5 years ago by him and John Furher of District 112. After much review, they decided on training from the Association of Facilities Engineering.

The classes were conducted here in District 64, where Scott received his certification as a certified plant maintenance manager. Scott has become a member of an elite group here in Illinois that will be certified trainers for this program through Illinois ASBO. The program provides training in preventative maintenance, inventory and procurement, maintenance planning and scheduling, and safe and healthy air quality in our schools. The greatest factor in all of this is that it provides for quality educational spaces for the children of Illinois.”
Dr. Philip Bender, Superintendent, Park Ridge Niles CMCSD 64
(On behalf of Scott Mackall, Dir./Facility Management)

"John's role is particularly critical since the average age of the district's schools is over 70 years old. John (Fuhrer) is constantly on call, and he always responds in a most professional way and does an exemplary job. His level of knowledge is extraordinary.

The condition of school facilities plays a crucial role in supporting student education - We are proud of John for achieving this high level of professionalism, knowledge and expertise, and for being a leader in the area of school facilities."
Dr. David Behlow, Superintendent, North Shore SD 112
(On behalf of John Fuhrer, Dir./Buildings, Grounds & Trans.)
