Yes, you’ll be busy during the day attending invaluable sessions connecting health and learning, and networking with colleagues, but why not extend your networking to a nearby coffee shop or food cart? Portland by Foot

Like exploring new cities? Enjoy the great outdoors? Portland has it all! See what this walk-able and friendly city has to offer.

  • Walking Tours: Get your daily exercise in while you learn about Portland! The Best of Portland City Tour meets down the street from the hotel and gives you the inside scoop on the eleven bridges, shares secrets behind the television show “Portlandia”, shows you public art installations and more!  (Meeting point is a one minute walk from the hotel)

  • Tom McCall Waterfront Park: Start your morning right with a walk or jog along the Tom McCall Waterfront Park. Just a ten minute walk from the hotel, the park offers great views of downtown Portland and the Willamette River.

  • Powell’s City of Books on Burnside: Calling all book lovers! Visit the flagship location of this Portland franchise. Powell’s is home to over 1,000,000 books that span over 68,000 square feet (a whole city block!). Be sure to check out the store map before you visit. (ten minute walk from the hotel)

 

Portland by Taste

Portland is known for its cuisine, so check out the local scene!

  • Food Carts: Sample a variety of food from over 600 food carts! The city is sprinkled with food cart“pods”—large groups of carts and three food cart pods (Alder, 3rdAvenue and 5th Avenue) are all less than a ten minute walk from the hotel.

  • Voodoo Donuts: You can’t leave Portland without trying a Voodoo Donut! Flavors range from bacon maple bar to Mexican Hot Chocolate to voodoo bubblegum. These outrageous and delightful treats are only a ten minute walk from the Hilton (did we mention its open 24 hours a day/7 days a week?). Pair that Voodoo Donut with a coffee or tea from one of Portland’s acclaimed coffee shops.

  • Breweries: Portland is home to more craft breweries than any other city in the world. End the day with a craft beer at one of Portland’s 53 breweries.  

 

Staying the Weekend?

If you’re planning on staying longer, drive out to the Columbia River Gorge Waterfalls or get a bird’s eye view of the city and Mt. Hood (and the fall foliage) on the Aerial Tram. Here’s a full list of activities:
