Description: Describe the risk and cost of pressure injuries. Review the 2019 International Guideline areas of prevention:

  • Risk factors and risk assessment
  • Skin and soft tissue assessment
  • Preventive skincare
  • Nutritional assessment
  • Repositioning and early mobilization
  • Heel pressure injury prevention
  • Support surfaces for prevention
  • Device related pressure injury prevention

  • How to develop and execute a plan to reduce pressure injuries.
