2016 AAP Poster Awardees

We had around 65 posters submitted initially for review. Of this group, around 42 were invited to display their poster at the conference and submit electronically to be considered for awards.36 posters ultimately ended up being displayed in Puerto Rico.  We had a tie for second place, such that we made an executive decision to recognize 4 posters for awards.

 

Award winners are as follows:

1st Place:

Poster #20 / Mara Pheister, MD, Julie Owen, MD (Medical College of Wisconsin) - Suicide Symposium: A Multidisciplinary Approach to Risk Assessment and the Emotional Aftermath of Patient Suicide

 

2nd Place: Two Awardees due to a tie

Poster #1 / Rashi Aggarwal, MD, Meredith Senter, B.S, Nicole Guanci, MD and Petros Levournis, MD (Rutgers New Jersey Medical School)  - Resident Empathy and Wellness: Is there a relationship?

 

Poster #29 / Meredith Spada, MD, Wynne Lundblad, MD, Jason Rosenstock, MD, and Michael Travis, MD (Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center) - Self-Assessment of Teaching Skills Among Psychiatric Residents

 

3rd Place: 

Poster #3 / David Atikinson, MD, and John Rodman, PhD (Minneapolis Veterans Affairs Health Care System) - Resilience to burnout: a role for self-compassion
