Houston’s mix of international appeal and Southern charm has captured the imagination of tastemakers the world over.  America's fourth-largest city, is a cosmopolitan destination, filled with world-class dining, arts, hotels, shopping and nightlife. Countless cutting-edge chefs have made a home in Houston, where diners eat out more than residents of any other city. Here, you’ll find James Beard Award winners and internationally renowned chefs serving up innovative cuisine that frequently catches the attention of foodies in Bon Appetit, Food & Wine and Saveur

Venture Downtown during your stay and discover a thriving professional arts scene, with professional resident companies in ballet, opera, symphony and theater; only four other U.S. cities can say the same. And the nearby Museum District stakes its claim as the country’s fourth largest, with 18 cultural powerhouses set within blocks of one another.

The Magnolia Hotel

Named the "Best Boutique Hotel in Houston" by the Houston Press, the Magnolia Hotel in downtown was originally the home of the Houston Post Dispatch newspaper. Later it became the corporate office for Shell Oil Company, until the hotel reopened in March 2003 after extensive renovation. Hailed as one of the most impressive office buildings in Texas, Magnolia's restoration has re-established the 1926 historic landmark as one of Houston's most distinct properties.

The AAA-CPA has reserved a block of hotel rooms at the hotel at a special rate of $149 single or double occupancy plus applicable taxes.

The Magnolia only guaranteed the discounted room rates until Tuesday, October 18, 2016. They will take reservations after that time based on availability and prevailing rates at the time of your call.
Reservations can be made by calling 1-888-915-1110

Be sure to identify yourself as attending the American Academy of Attorney-CPAs meeting to see if the discounted rate is available.
