AAA-CPA Opposes Tax Patents: Joins National Coalition to Affect Law Change   11/2/2009

The American Association of Attorney-Certified Public Accountants (AAA-CPA) is a strong component in a coalition urging Congress to ban the patenting of tax strategies.  The coalition fully supports passage of H.R. 2584, currently before the House Judiciary Committee, which seeks to amend Title 35 of the United States Code to limit the patentability of tax planning methods.

Patti M. Richards Esq., CPA was installed as the 46th President of the American Association of Attorney-Certified Public Accountants (AAA-CPA).  The installation was held Sunday, July 5th during the Association’s Annual Meeting in San Francisco, CA.  Richards succeeds E. Martin Davidoff of Dayton, New Jersey.
