Golf:                  The Viking Chapter returns to the Royal Golf Club, in Lake Elmo, Minnesota. Redesigned on the foundation of the 3M Tartan Park course, Royal features bold glacial topography, natural lakes, mature trees and abundant wildlife provide the scenic beauty to the challenging, yet approachable 18-hole course. The front nine, or the Queen’s Nine, was first project designed by Annika Sorenstam, and is situated low and between a number of massive ridges that bisect the property. The back nine, known as the King’s Nine, was Arnold Palmer’s last project and sits higher on a plateau overlooking Horseshoe Lake. Together, these golf legends envisioned a multi-generational golfing experience; a place where beginners would feel comfortable in learning, and where experienced players could test their skills.
