The Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO) is collaborating with the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention - Division of Adolescent and School Health (CDC-DASH) to leverage public health collaborations in delivering sexual health services for CDC-DASH PS18-1807 grantees. Grantees will connect and learn from subject matter experts on developing effective partnerships with public health departments as they relate to youth-friendly sexual health services.
This two-part (four-hour total) workshop will feature education and public health experts providing strategies for successful collaborations through data, policy, and programs. On Feb. 25 from 1-3 p.m. ET, participants will learn about the role of public health departments in school health, hear a case of a successful local public health and education partnership, and breakout into regional groups to discuss foundational strategies for collaboration. On Feb. 26 from 1-3 p.m. ET, participants will learn about data driven action, learn how to emphasize the importance of sexual health services to policymakers, and engage in regional breakouts.
