Event Description

The Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO) is collaborating with the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention - Division of Adolescent and School Health (CDC-DASH) to leverage public health collaborations in delivering sexual health services for CDC-DASH PS18-1807 grantees. Grantees will connect and learn from subject matter experts on developing effective partnerships with public health departments as they relate to youth-friendly sexual health services.

This two-part (four-hour total) workshop will feature education and public health experts providing strategies for successful collaborations through data, policy, and programs. On Feb. 25 from 1-3 p.m. ET, participants will learn about the role of public health departments in school health, hear a case of a successful local public health and education partnership, and breakout into regional groups to discuss foundational strategies for collaboration. On Feb. 26 from 1-3 p.m. ET, participants will learn about data driven action, learn how to emphasize the importance of sexual health services to policymakers, and engage in regional breakouts.
