Event Description

Flexible Funding Academic Think Tank
Tuesday, May 11

2:00 - 4:00 PM ET

The purpose of the Flex Funding Think Tank is to increase capacity of the public health workforce to facilitate population health improvement across sectors and over the life course with an equity and social determinants of health lens. One set of activities in the project focuses on analyzing assorted federal funding streams to identify opportunities for state and territorial health agencies to braid and/or layer funding across multiple federal departments or agencies that address a common goal towards a shared outcome. Georgetown Law has researched legal options and assessed successful uses of waivers to braid and layer federal funding, and we are excited to convene this expert panel to discuss, review, and make recommendations based on the findings.
